Just a quick journal post before I run off for lunch.

I'm going to clean out my deviation alerts and messages. My apologies for the works/comments/journal entries I didn't get to comment on. I'll try to do better this time but, well, I'm busy (not really--just hooked on roleplaying again).

Meanwhile, for your viewing pleasure, please check out this cosplay slideshow-video I made from pictures of our Weiss Kreuz crossplay group (debuted last...April? I was struck with sudden nostalgia, lolz.). It's currently uploaded to my multiply site (username: shiwa) in two sizes: 8.1MB and 21.8MB. The 21.8MB one is of better quality, of course, and you don't really have to download them to watch them.

-Ken'yuu (Yohji Kudo aka 'blondie'.)

I've seen the first episode of the three-part OVA Saiyuki Reload Burial and I loooooooooove it!! It's absolutely to die for!!

Warning: The following is not a Burial review. In fact, it doesn't even have the would-be sense of rantings or fangirl ravings. Lolz.

SPOILERS ALERT!!

From the opening vid. Kouryuu is SOOOOOOOOO cute!! I also love the part where he's running through the woods like he has no destination in mind--just running!!

Ukoku Sanzo's first appearance in the OVA. Well, actually, the thing starts off with him, but as Dr. Nii. ANYway, he's SO cool and I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOO happy I cosplayed Ukoku Sanzo here.^_^

Before he became a Sanzo, Ukoku/Dr. Nii's name was Ken'yuu. He's top of the class, but your regular rascal. He looks so innocent here, no? Lolz.

When Komyou was a little younger, he wore his hair in a ponytail instead of a braid. He looked so...neat.x_X Lolz. Oh, the big guy next to him is another Goudai Sanzo, Ken'yuu's master. Large as he is, he's actually the most Sanzo-like of all five Sanzos I've seen (Goudai, Komyou, Ukoku, Genjyo and Kami-sama).O.o Also, not visible here, but he wears the same gloves as Komyou, Ukoku and Genjyo...is tight-leather REALLY the standard clothes of Sanzos?xD

In their first meeting, Komyou watches Ken'yuu and muses that he reminds him of Kouryuu (young Genjyo Sanzo, who at that time was, like, around four years old). Ken'yuu asks him if they look alike and Komyou answers, not at all (and I have to agree, they don't look a thing alike). Maybe Kouryuu will grow up just like Ken'yuu...and yeah, he did, inheriting the broom.xD

Ken'yuu sitting like the other disciples inside the temple. *shrug* Nothing. Just found it amusing. He's got a nice form, top student and all.

Goudai Sanzo might be large, but he's SO weak!! Ken'yuu SO owns him!! Haha!!

...but Komyou Sanzo owns HIM. Jeez. The old man is incredibly strong. I wonder how a bunch of youkai thieves could kill him? Maybe he was really just out to traumatize poor Kouryuu/Genjo Sanzo (just kidding. But, honestly, watching Burial will make you think the Sanzos are sooooo weird....).

I love the conversation between Komyou and Ken'yuu. And Ken'yuu looks so cool locked up, heh.

The OVA is SO much bloodier than the series. I guess 'coz it's an OVA and they don't have to worry (much) about censor and stuff. Guess they're sticking closer to the manga. I've read the entire Saiyuki manga and part of Reload and it's a lot more bloody than the series. (Hakkai rips his eye out and tosses it to the ground in the manga, he doesn't in the series. 'Nuff said.)

...REALLY bloody. Komyou's line is my favorite in the chapter, "Yes. I'm certain of it...Ken'yuu was crying."

...So much for Ukoku Sanzo. Haha. Up next (and much longer) is Genjyo Sanzo's story (before he even meets up with Goku! Woot!). Here's a preview of sorts (not that we're running on anything here):

Honestly, with how messy--bloody messy--Sanzo used to fight, and that's for four years, he should be a youkai by now like Hakkai!! Oh, but you have to admit he looks great in casual-y black robes.^_^

Just finished Nightmare of Zaoldyeck, the 2nd HxH Musical. Waaah. That was good. And, lolz. Does Kurapika have the most number of fans in Japan? He had the loudest applause (and screams!) come curtain call!!^.^

(But what the heck?! I can understand HysokaXGon in the first musical...well, not really...but MillukiXKurapika?!?!?!?! Jeez...and then it becomes HysokaXKurapika.x_X)

I stand by what I said that this is much funnier than the first musical. Some of the fight scenes are better too, with Zenon and Silva both doing stunts (Zenon and Silva Vs Hysoka so rocks!). However, even with a lot of dances (The entire cast danced at some point or another, really! See spoilers~.) and choreography thrown in, the musical's production still seems a little worse than what was done in the first. I don't know...I still love it though. *cough*fanservicegalore*cough*
